Ready for Christmas?

Let's enjoy the Magic in Christmas Ads!

By watching this first ad, you'll find out how important it is to learn English.

In this year M&S Christmas advert we can see how Mrs Klaus saves the day.

Coming home for Christmas is the best gift of all.

Or maybe the greatest gift is your time.

How about being your favourite self?

If your train is delayed on your journey home for Christmas, all is not lost!

Christmas is a time for dreaming, even for Buster!

And a time for sharing despite Mog's mess.

What’s the meaning of Christmas?

And to you, what does Christmas mean to you?

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Merry Christmas

"Half The World Away" (Oasis - Aurora's cover)

I would like to leave this city
This old town don't smell too pretty and
I can feel the warning signs running around my mind
And when I leave this island
I book myself into a soul asylum
I can feel the warning signs running around my mind

So here I go
I'm still scratching around in the same old hole
My body feels young but my mind is very old
So what do you say?
You can't give me the dreams that are mine anyway
You're half the world away
You're half the world away

And when I leave this planet
You know I'd stay but I just can't stand it and
I can feel the warning signs running around my mind
And if I can leave this spirit
I'll find me a hole and I'll live in it
I can feel the warning signs running around my mind

So here I go
I'm still scratching around in the same old hole
My body feels young but my mind is very old
So what do you say?
You can't give me the dreams that are mine anyway
You're half the world away
You're half the world away

You're half the world away
I've been lost, I've been found
But I don't feel down
You're half the world away
I've been lost, I've been found
But I don't feel down
I don't feel down

 "Real Love" (John Lennon)

All my little plans and schemes
Lost like some forgotten dream
Seems like all I really was doing
Was waiting for you

Just like little girls and boys
Playing with their little toys
Seems like all they really were doing
Was waiting for you

Don't need to be alone
No need to be alone

It's real love
It's real, yes it's real love
It's real

From this moment on I know
Exactly where my life will go
Seems that all I really was doing
Was waiting for love

Don't need to be afraid
No need to be afraid

It's real love
It's real, yes it's real love
It's real

Thought I'd been in love before,
But in my heart I wanted more
Seems like all I really was doing
Was waiting for you

Don't need to be alone
No need to be alone

It's real love
Yes it's real, yes it's real love
It's real, yes it's real love...

Christmas around the world

Christmas Countdowns

Dear students of 2nd ESO,

These are the links where you can find information for your Project (you can search the Web and use some other pages too, of course). Select your country and choose the Chrismas traditions and customs that you consider important. For example:

• What are the most celebrated days in that country?
• How do they decorate the houses?
• What do they have for dinner? Name some recipes.
• Which day do they give presents(gifts)? Who is the Christmas gift bringer? Where are presents left?
• How is "Feliz Navidad" said in that language?

Remember, extract the relevant information. DO NOT COPY LONG PARAGRAGHS!

I hope you enjoy and have a good time with this  Christmassy activity.

Mistletoe

It's the most beautiful time of the year
Lights fill the streets spreading so much cheer
I should be playing in the winter snow
But I'mma be under the mistletoe.
I don't wanna miss out on the holiday
But I can't stop staring at your face
I should be playing in the winter snow
But I'mma be under the mistletoe.
With you, shawty, with you
With you, shawty, with you
With you, under the mistletoe.
Everyone's gathering around the fire
Chestnuts roasting like a hot July
I should be chillin' with my folks, I know
But I'mma be under the mistletoe.
Word on the streets Santa's coming tonight
Reindeer's flying through the sky so high
I should be making a list, I know
I'mma be under the mistletoe.
With you, shawty, with you
With you, shawty, with you
With you, under the mistletoe
Yeaaah,
With you, shawty, with you
With you, shawty, with you
With you, under the mistletoe.
Hey love, the Wise Men followed a star
The way I followed my heart
And it led me to a miracle.
Hey love, don't you buy me nothing
(don't you buy me nothing)
I am feeling one thing
Your lips on my lips
That's a Merry Merry Christmas.
It's the most beautiful time of the year
Lights fill the streets spreading so much cheer
I should be playing in the winter snow
I'mma be under the mistletoe.
I don't wanna miss out on the holiday
But I can't stop staring at your face
I should be playing in the winter snow
But I'mma be under the mistletoe.
With you, shawty, with you
With you, shawty, with you
With you, under the mistletoe.
With you, shawty, with you
With you, shawty, with you
With you, under the mistletoe yeah.
Kiss me underneath the mistletoe
Show me baby that you love me so
Oh oh oh oh oh oh.
Kiss me underneath the mistletoe
Show me baby that you love me so
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
